Московский импровизационный коллектив «Живущие в хоботе» (название отсылает к серии работ художника Л. Тишкова) посвятил свой альбом архитектуре ар-брют — явлению причудливому, галлюцинаторному и во многом импровизационному. Названиями композиций стали имена визионерских построек, важнейшая из которых дала название всей записи — это «Идеальный дворец почтальона Шеваля», подвиг отваги и степенного безрассудства самоучки. Альбом записан за одну сессию: осенним утром в небольшом доме в подмосковном лесу группа «сыграла об архитектуре». В записи коллективной импровизации принимала участие 6-летняя дочь барабанщика, что задало тон всей записи.
The Moscow improvisation collective «Living in the Trunk» (the name refers to a series of works by the artist L. Tishkov) devoted its album to art-brut architecture – a bizarre, hallucinatory and, in many ways, improvisational phenomenon. The titles of the compositions were the names of visionary buildings, the most important of which gave the name of the entire recording. It was the «Ideal Palace of the Postman Cheval», a feat of bravery and desperate recklessness of self-taught. The album was recorded during one session: on a fall morning in a small country house in a forest near Moscow, the group «played about architecture». The collective improvisation recording was attended by the 6-year-old drummer’s daughter and the tone for the entire recording was set.
